Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Giants came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Justin Jefferson deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
Good work on the whole, with safety the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 2 slot with a little surplus value in Terrion Arnold. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
The board had cheaper options than Cooper Beebe at Round 2, Pick 15, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Tyler Guyton at No. 69 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Tyler Davis at the 105th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Devin Neal at slot 142 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Ricky White in the 183rd overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
