You build a draft on nights like this. Tyleik Williams had no business being available in the 89th overall pick, and the Texans did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 26 they get protection for the quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Nice patience on Tyler Warren, who had no business lasting to the 58th pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Taking Tyleik Williams in the Round 3 slot is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They will replay Quinshon Judkins at pick 90 for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Malachi Moore in pick No. 94 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It adds depth where they could use a little.
