Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Packers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.
If Bills pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th pick they get a blindside protector at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
T'Vondre Sweat in Round 2, Pick 9 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Payton Wilson at pick No. 58 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Good price on Jaden Hicks in the Round 3 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
No drama and no debate, Dominick Puni went about where he belonged in the 91st overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Isaac Guerendo. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A tidy bit of business in pick 169, where Kitan Oladapo graded well above the range. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
A reach on Nathaniel Watson in slot 202; the board had better options right there. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Keaton Bills. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
