Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Oluwafemi Oladejo at Round 5, Pick 6 is 93 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.
Getting Harvey where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Will Campbell. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A safety of that caliber at the Round 2 slot is the definition of value, full stop. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They reached into another round for Jaylin Noel, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
