The war room fell hard for Storm Duck, and it showed at pick 247: 38 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. The final tally is a middling C.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Turner. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In the end, a coin-flip class: fine today, with a wide range of outcomes ahead.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get juice off the edge at a price that makes it sweeter. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Chop Robinson at slot 28 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Byron Murphy II in pick No. 58 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Johnny Wilson at the Round 2 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A conviction pick on Dominick Puni at pick 90 that the board grades a round light. A need, and now a little less of one.
