You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Dolphins did exactly that with Layden Robinson in pick No. 130.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Jackson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term starter on the line at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
A reach on Bralen Trice in pick No. 55; the board had better options right there. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A quiet steal in No. 93: Calen Bullock for less than the market said. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Layden Robinson in the 130th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They paid up for Javion Cohen at Round 5, Pick 22 when waiting would have done the job. The roster fit checks out.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Drake Nugent. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Circle this one: Jha'Quan Jackson at slot 198 is a fall that decides a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
