The Dolphins put a flag in the ground for Matt Lee, 56 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
Landing Devonshire that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

They will replay Kamren Kinchens at No. 88 for years; that is how good the value is. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A straight-up fair deal on Maason Smith at the 108th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A slide stopped in slot 158, with Luke McCaffrey worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Keaton Bills this early at pick 198. It fills a real need, too.
A real head-scratcher, Matt Lee in the 219th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. The roster fit checks out.
