Some picks age like wine; Beaux Limmer at the 87th overall pick will need to, sitting 39 spots clear of his grade. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Johnson.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 24 they get an anchor for the offensive line. A real need, handled.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Adisa Isaac at No. 62. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They reached into another round for Beaux Limmer, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They talked themselves into Sataoa Laumea at slot 113, and the board did not agree. It fills a real need, too.
A conviction pick on Layden Robinson at the 158th pick that the board grades a round light. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Evan Williams well ahead of where he belonged. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A slide stopped in No. 198, with Cornelius Johnson worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
