The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Dolphins reached some 41 spots for Layden Robinson, and value like that does not grow back.
The Worthy pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 30 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Kingsley Suamataia at pick 55 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They will replay Xavier Worthy at the Round 3 slot for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Trevor Keegan at No. 128 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Layden Robinson at pick No. 134 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It fills a real need, too.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Delmar Glaze in the 158th pick, miles early. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A big swing on Evan Williams at the 184th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
