Thirty-one other rooms let Tahj Washington slide, and the Dolphins were the ones holding the card at No. 241. Highway robbery. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
They are betting Robinson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
They let Graham Barton come to them and pounced at No. 38. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They talked themselves into Michael Hall Jr. at Round 2, Pick 23, and the board did not agree. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Beaux Limmer in the Round 4 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Circle this one: Calen Bullock at pick 106 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Layden Robinson this early at slot 146. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Trevor Keegan at pick No. 158 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. The roster fit checks out.
