The Dolphins spent real capital to be 42 picks early on Keaton Bills, and the board is going to hold them to it. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 29th overall pick they get a load in the middle, though they paid up to get him. The biggest hole, addressed.
Kingsley Suamataia at pick 60 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They paid sticker price for Ja'Lynn Polk in the Round 3 slot, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Beau Brade at the 128th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.
Layden Robinson at No. 158 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They jumped the gun on Delmar Glaze, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
