Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Eagles came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.
Getting Neyor where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The Taron Johnson deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
They did well to land Nate Wiggins in the 22nd overall pick, just ahead of his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tyler Guyton in the 54th pick. It fills a real need, too.
Good price on Ja'Tavion Sanders in pick No. 60, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Blake Corum in pick 97 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board had Cole Bishop higher than Round 5, Pick 1, and the safety fell to them anyway. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A quiet steal in No. 163: Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint for less than the market said. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The board fumbled Keith Randolph Jr. all the way to No. 172, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jaylen Wright at the 178th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. The roster fit checks out.
Taking Isaiah Neyor in Round 7, Pick 23 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
