The Packers torched the value chart for Jacob Dobbs, taking him 217 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Tyjae Spears pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
