This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: De'Corian Clark, the No. 214 name on the board, stolen at pick No. 250. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
Edgerrin Cooper in pick 35 is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Steal is underselling it; T.J. Tampa at the 61st pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They paid sticker price for Christian Mahogany in the 81st overall pick, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Tykee Smith in the Round 4 slot. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Sataoa Laumea at slot 166 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A wide receiver of that caliber at No. 207 is the definition of value, full stop. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
De'Corian Clark at pick No. 250 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
