You can hear the double-takes from here. The Patriots took Markel Bell at pick 63, roughly 51 spots before his name belonged. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Lane falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. That safety hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
