Everything else got attention, and quarterback got none. That is a strange way for the Dolphins to leave a draft.
Robinson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The Washington steal is the beam this whole class leans on.
On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
They took Jordan Morgan at par in pick 36, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Bralen Trice in the Round 2 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A clean, defensible pick in the 67th overall pick with a little surplus value in Kamren Kinchens. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Trevor Keegan in Round 5, Pick 3 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
They reached into another round for Layden Robinson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A need, and now a little less of one.
No drama and no debate, Tanor Bortolini went about where he belonged in pick No. 184. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A slide stopped in slot 198, with Tahj Washington worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Value with a capital V on Tylan Grable in the 241st pick, a genuine coup. It fills a real need, too.
