Somebody took the Packers to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

The cost of the Abrams-Draine reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Packers indulged a want in Williams while a need in quarterback and tight end stayed open.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. James at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
