The one they had to fix is still broken. The Dolphins left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
Robinson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 21st pick they get a bendy edge with upside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Kingsley Suamataia in the Round 2 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A clean, defensible pick in No. 123 with a little surplus value in Tyler Davis. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Johnny Wilson in pick No. 127 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Layden Robinson in pick 158 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
The board had cheaper options than Delmar Glaze at Round 6, Pick 9, and it noticed. It fills a real need, too.
By-the-book stuff, Julian Pearl at slot 198 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Fair-plus on Dominique Hampton, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
