The one they had to fix is still broken. The Dolphins left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
The Robinson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Nothing gained and nothing lost at the table.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
Darius Robinson at Round 1, Pick 25 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kingsley Suamataia in slot 58 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jaden Hicks at the 88th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the safety. A minor need, but a need all the same.
By-the-book stuff, Johnny Wilson at pick 126 squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Sataoa Laumea at pick No. 129 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Layden Robinson well ahead of where he belonged. The roster fit checks out.
