The Eagles clearly saw something nobody else did in Isaiah World, taking him 57 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
On the needs board they went 9 of 9, with cornerback the one that mattered most. They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 28th pick they get a seam-stretching tight end, and a steal at that.
They paid sticker price for Dillon Thieneman in the 36th overall pick, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Caden Curry in pick 84, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Isaiah World at Round 3, Pick 25 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Value with a capital V on Connor Lew in slot 98, a genuine coup. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Skyler Bell at No. 106 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They did well to land Tacario Davis in pick 114, just ahead of his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
No drama and no debate, Joe Royer went about where he belonged in No. 120. The roster fit checks out.
They reached into another round for Beau Stephens, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Malik Benson slid further than he should have, and pick No. 153 is lovely value for the wide receiver. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A clean, defensible pick in the 160th pick with a little surplus value in Zxavian Harris. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Taylen Green at the 178th overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A need, and now a little less of one.
Le'Veon Moss at slot 197 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Lander Barton at Round 6, Pick 20 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Brent Austin in pick No. 236 is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
