You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They are betting Alexander proves the room right and everyone else wrong. However the rest shakes out, Walker at that price is a win they earned.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get juice off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They went early on Zy Alexander in pick 47, and the value did not follow. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Deone Walker at No. 78 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It fills a real need, too.
