The Dolphins spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Zachariah Branch, the No. 61 name on the board, in pick No. 89.

They will need Jatta to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The Dolphins clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
