Thirty-one other rooms let Jermaine Burton slide, and the Eagles were the ones holding the card at No. 97. Highway robbery. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

They will need Mordecai to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Eagles indulged a want in Wilson while a need in edge rusher and interior defensive lineman stayed open.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
