The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named quarterback, a need the Cardinals walked right past. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
Alexander falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The Higgins pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a wrecking ball inside at a price that makes it sweeter.
They paid a round early for Jay Higgins in Round 2, Pick 18, more than the board wanted. A need, and now a little less of one.
No edge and no loss on Donovan Ezeiruaku in pick 82; it is a wash and a sensible one. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
