Start where it matters. The Vikings took J.J. McCarthy to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
The Pritchett value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The Williams pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 11 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A clean fit for the roster.
In the 23rd overall pick they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Mike Sainristil in the 108th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Mohamed Kamara at pick 129 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They paid a round early for Javion Cohen in pick No. 157, more than the board wanted. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A reach on Ty'Ron Hopper in Round 5, Pick 31; the board had better options right there. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Somehow Nehemiah Pritchett was still sitting there in the Round 6 slot, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Josh Proctor in slot 230 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A big swing on Miyan Williams at No. 232, well ahead of any board in the building. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
