They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Patriots' quarterback, full stop. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

Washington at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Nugent has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
