The Texans ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
They will need Jackson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Ransom pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a No. 1 receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A big swing on Donovan Jackson at the 58th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Value with a capital V on Lathan Ransom in the 127th pick, a genuine coup. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Nice patience on Raheim Sanders, who had no business lasting to the Round 5 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
