Nobody had Jaylen Harrell this high, and it is not close. The Eagles reached 23 spots to get him at Round 6, Pick 3. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get an island corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the 50th overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They paid up for Javon Bullard at the Round 2 slot when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They jumped the gun on Khyree Jackson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
No drama and no debate, Cedric Gray went about where he belonged in No. 137. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
A straight-up fair deal on LaDarius Henderson at the 163rd pick, value and slot in agreement. The roster fit checks out.
Roger Rosengarten in the 172nd overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jaylen Harrell at the 178th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They paid a round early for Xavier Thomas in Round 7, Pick 23, more than the board wanted. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
