After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Commanders committed. Drake Maye is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

Every board in the league had Johnson lower, and that gap is the story. Devonshire at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Bottom line, with Drake Maye leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
