Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Giants, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. The math is unkind, and the D follows.
They have staked the next five years on Bo Nix, which is the only story that really matters here. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 26th overall pick they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Jordan Morgan at Round 2, Pick 15 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Value with a capital V on Christian Haynes in pick 70, a genuine coup. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Christian Mahogany at the 108th pick is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Jacob Cowing in slot 145 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Tahj Washington in pick No. 185; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Daijun Edwards in the Round 6 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
