Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Packers never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

They banked enough surplus on Johnson to cover a lot of smaller sins. The cost of the Van Pran reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
