Some picks age like wine; Darius Robinson at the 91st overall pick will need to, sitting 30 spots clear of his grade.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a sticky cover corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
No edge and no loss on Kris Jenkins in Round 2, Pick 9; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They paid sticker price for T'Vondre Sweat in No. 57, and that is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Marist Liufau at pick No. 88 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A minor itch, scratched.
They liked Audric Estime enough to skip the value, taking him in the 89th pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Darius Robinson in the 91st overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Kris Abrams-Draine in pick No. 125 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A straight-up fair deal on James Williams at the 135th pick, value and slot in agreement. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
