The war room fell hard for Bryce Foster, and it showed at Round 6, Pick 8: 38 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

The DJ Moore pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.12 · Pick 12 · Kool-Aid McKinstry · CB · rank 14
In the 12th pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.5 · Pick 37 · Chop Robinson · DE-EDGE · rank 37
Chop Robinson in No. 37 is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R3.5 · Pick 69 · Kingsley Suamataia · OT · rank 58
They let Kingsley Suamataia come to them and pounced at Round 3, Pick 5. The roster fit checks out.
R3.12 · Pick 76 · Roman Wilson · WR · rank 92
They went early on Roman Wilson in the Round 3 slot, and the value did not follow. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R4.5 · Pick 105 · Braelon Allen · RB · rank 105
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Braelon Allen. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.13 · Pick 113 · Junior Colson · LB · rank 114
Junior Colson at pick No. 113 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R5.6 · Pick 142 · Ben Sinnott · TE · rank 157
They jumped the gun on Ben Sinnott, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R6.8 · Pick 183 · Bryce Foster · C · rank 221
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Bryce Foster well ahead of where he belonged. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R7.6 · Pick 226 · Demani Richardson · S · rank 245
Demani Richardson at No. 226 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
