The Logan Lee pick is the one that will follow the Chargers into the fall. They took him 56 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.
The Mitchell steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 10 they get a matchup weapon at tight end. A real need, handled.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Amarius Mims in the Round 2 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
T'Vondre Sweat in pick 69 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Steal is underselling it; Adonai Mitchell at the 72nd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Cam Hart is a better player than slot 106 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A reach for Isaac Guerendo in No. 165; a little patience would have been rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They reached into another round for Logan Lee, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
