The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Luke McCaffrey, the No. 149 name on the board, in the 202nd overall pick.
If Smith pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

In pick No. 25 they get a blindside protector at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Cooper DeJean at Round 2, Pick 9. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
