Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Chargers never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

They did well to land Kayden McDonald in No. 22, just ahead of his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A reasonable price with a little left over, A.J. Haulcy in the 55th pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
