For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Jets walked out of the weekend still thin at quarterback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. The bottom line is a respectable B.

Landing Howell that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
