They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Zion Logue, 58 picks early at pick 183.
For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Coleman.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 5th overall pick they get a seam-stretching tight end. A real need, handled.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Keon Coleman at Round 2, Pick 5 is the proof. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A slide stopped in the Round 3 slot, with Ja'Lynn Polk worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Edefuan Ulofoshio in No. 105, miles early. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A real head-scratcher, Michael Barrett in pick 142 is miles ahead of his ranking. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Zion Logue in slot 183 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They talked themselves into Donell Harris Jr. at the Round 7 slot, and the board did not agree. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
