The Chiefs treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending slot 74 on Ben Sinnott a full 57 spots early.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped offensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
If Xavier Worthy and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
Xavier Worthy at No. 38 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Bralen Trice in the 64th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Ben Sinnott this early at Round 3, Pick 10. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Cam Hart at the 95th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Kitan Oladapo at pick No. 158 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A reach on Jordan Jefferson in the Round 5 slot; the board had better options right there. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
