The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Matthew Jones went at the Round 6 slot, a good 54 picks before the board was ready. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.
That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Circle this one: Christian Jones at the 236th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jalen Berger at Round 7, Pick 31 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
