When a board-topper like Josh Newton slides to pick 173, you do not overthink it, and the Chiefs did not.
Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Schrader lower, and that gap is the story.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
