It is the swing that defines the weekend: Tahj Washington in slot 239, a good 123 spots before the room expected him.
The Morgan pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Hit on Chris Braswell and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 27th overall pick they get juice off the edge, a steep price for the projection. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Jordan Morgan in slot 53 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A need, and now a little less of one.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Ben Sinnott in pick No. 90, miles early. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They paid up for Kitan Oladapo at No. 155 when waiting would have done the job. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Michael Barrett in the 186th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
Value said wait; DeMonte Capehart in Round 6, Pick 24 says they were not listening. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They talked themselves into Tahj Washington at the Round 7 slot, and the board did not agree. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
