The Dolphins spent real capital to be 66 picks early on Ben Sinnott, and the board is going to hold them to it. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A reasonable price with a little left over, Troy Fautanu in No. 33. The roster fit checks out.
A big swing on Jonah Elliss at the Round 2 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A wild overpay on Ben Sinnott in pick No. 65, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Jordan Jefferson in pick 141 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They took Kitan Oladapo at par in slot 157, which is nothing to complain about. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Tahj Washington at Round 6, Pick 11 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They went early on Michael Barrett in Round 6, Pick 25, and the value did not follow. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Matt Lee this early at No. 239. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
