The Dolphins clearly saw something nobody else did in Khristian Boyd, taking him 22 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 27 they get an anchor for the offensive line. A clean fit for the roster.
No drama and no debate, Zach Frazier went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 23. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
No edge and no loss on Jonah Elliss in the Round 3 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They talked themselves into Kitan Oladapo at the 137th pick, and the board did not agree. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Khristian Boyd at the 157th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They liked Tahj Washington enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 183. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A straight-up fair deal on Jared Wiley at No. 197, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Edefuan Ulofoshio at the 241st pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
