A solid, sensible weekend for the Dolphins: B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Dolphins spent the 200th overall pick on DeMonte Capehart, a name most had 65 spots down the list.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The back end got a real overhaul.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 22 they get a ballhawk on the outside. More want than need.
Gabriel Murphy in slot 54 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kitan Oladapo in Round 5, Pick 23 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
No drama and no debate, JD Bertrand went about where he belonged in the 186th overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
DeMonte Capehart in the Round 6 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A big swing on Tanner McLachlan at the 243rd pick, well ahead of any board in the building. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
