Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Dolphins spent the 158th pick on Jaylen Harrell, a name the board had a full 43 spots lower. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The back end got a real overhaul.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 21 they get a press-man option on the boundary. Need was not the driver here.
A reach for Adisa Isaac in No. 53; a little patience would have been rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jaylen Harrell well ahead of where he belonged. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They took Josh Proctor at par in Round 6, Pick 11, which is nothing to complain about. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Jared Wiley in the 199th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A conviction pick on Walter Rouse at the Round 7 slot that the board grades a round light. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
