The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named quarterback, a need the Dolphins walked right past.
Harrell has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 21st pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. A clean fit for the roster.
No edge and no loss on Ja'Tavion Sanders in pick 53; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
By-the-book stuff, Austin Booker at the 158th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Jaylen Harrell at Round 6, Pick 11 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Gabe Hall in the Round 6 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They took Demani Richardson at par in No. 242, which is nothing to complain about. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
