If confidence were a draft strategy, the Dolphins would have aced it. Gabe Hall at No. 158 is 49 spots clear of where he belonged.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On value alone, Robinson makes the weekend a net positive. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 21 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value.
Circle this one: Chop Robinson at Round 2, Pick 21 is a fall that decides a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Gabe Hall at pick No. 158 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Jared Wiley in the 186th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Christian Jones. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They took Demani Richardson at par in the 242nd overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A minor need, but a need all the same.
