You can hear the double-takes from here. The Dolphins took Tahj Washington at the Round 7 slot, roughly 121 spots before his name belonged. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
It grades out a shrug today, with plenty of room to move either way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 21 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A real need, handled.
Ja'Tavion Sanders at pick 53 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They went early on Kitan Oladapo in Round 5, Pick 22, and the value did not follow. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A wild overpay on Marcus Harris in the 186th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Aaron Lewis at the Round 6 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A big swing on Tahj Washington at No. 242, well ahead of any board in the building. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
