B-
Green Bay Packers
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Packers: B-.

· 7 picks
· 1 steals
· 2 reaches
The Packers bet big and early on JD Bertrand, 51 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. That Barton pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 25 they get a lockdown presence outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Graham Barton at the 41st pick is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Payton Wilson at the 58th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
No edge and no loss on Trey Benson in the Round 3 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They liked Cole Bishop enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 3, Pick 28. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Christian Jones in No. 126 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
This one needs a full-page explanation: JD Bertrand in Round 5, Pick 33, miles early. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
